Susan Modaress has been covering international headline news & events since 1996, as a journalist, producer & TV personality.

Her career as a producer has taken her to some of the world’s contemporary hotspots including Egypt, Lebanon, Haiti, Iran & Iraq.

She has interviewed hundreds of the world’s leading politicians/decision makers & academics including Former US National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brezezinski, Iran’s Ambassador to the IAEA Ali Asghar Soltanieh, MIT Professor Noam Chomsky, Civil Right’s Leader Rev. Jesse Jackson & the late Howard Zinn.

In 2008 during the Non Aligned Movement Meeting in Tehran she conducted one on one interviews with more than a dozen participating Foreign Ministers.

Her coverage of the 2010 Gulf Of Mexico oil spill made headlines as she was one of the first international correspondents to obtain access to BP headquarters in Venice, Louisiana.

Susan is one of the only female photo journalists to ever cover the Arbaeen Ceremonies in Karbala, Iraq in 2011.

From 2008-2011 she was Executive Producer & Host of “The Autograph” a weekly talk show with leading authors, critics, and thinkers who have expressed their views and opinions about the world we live in and the challenges and opportunities we face as a global community.

Her documentary “Occupied”, which takes an in depth look at the Occupy Wall Street Movement is in the final stages of post-production.

Susan is based in New York City but travels frequently for independent projects.
